About Halo™ + BBL®

Why Choose Halo™ + BBL®?
Halo™ and BBL® work synergistically to address multiple layers of skin, offering a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation. Halo™ revitalizes deep layers for collagen stimulation and texture improvement, while BBL® treats surface-level concerns like pigmentation and redness. Many clients choose this combination for a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation, and your provider will review the expected recovery with you.

Book a consultation to learn whether Halo™ + BBL® is right for you.

Is Halo™ + BBL® right for you?

Your provider reviews your medical history and discusses risks and alternatives with you before recommending treatment.

Who may not be a candidate

This treatment is not suitable for everyone. Tell your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have had recent sun exposure or a tan, have an active skin infection, cold sore or rash in the area, have a history of keloid scarring, have used isotretinoin, or take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light. Your provider will review your medical history, medications and skin type before recommending treatment.

Risks and side effects

Every laser and light-based treatment carries risk. Common effects include redness, swelling, warmth, dryness, a rough or bronzed texture and flaking, and pigmented spots often darken before they flake away. Less common effects include changes in skin color, which can be darker or lighter than the surrounding skin, reactivation of cold sores, breakouts, infection, blistering, burns and scarring. The risk of color change is higher in deeper skin tones and with sun exposure before or after treatment. Your provider will go through the risks that apply to you and answer your questions before you decide.

Halo™ + BBL® questions, answered

What is the difference between Halo and BBL treatments?

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that addresses skin tone, texture, and overall rejuvenation by targeting deeper layers of the skin and stimulating collagen production. BBL (Broadband Light) focuses on treating surface-level concerns such as pigmentation, redness, and sun damage using light energy. Together, these treatments provide a comprehensive solution for radiant, youthful skin.

What can I expect during a Halo + BBL treatment?

Your provider will first perform the BBL treatment to target surface-level concerns, followed by the Halo laser to address deeper skin layers. You may feel a warm or prickling sensation during the treatment, but numbing cream is applied beforehand to enhance comfort. The entire session typically takes 90–120 minutes.

How long is the recovery time for Halo + BBL?

The downtime is minimal to moderate. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or a "sunburn" sensation for a few days. Halo treatments often result in light peeling or flaking as your skin renews itself. Most clients return to normal activities within 3–5 days.

How many sessions of Halo + BBL are recommended?

While noticeable results are often seen after a single session, optimal results are typically achieved with a series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Your provider will create a personalized plan based on your skin’s needs and goals.
