Refrain from taking aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E for 5-7 days before treatment to minimize bruising.
Avoid alcohol and smoking for 24-48 hours before your appointment to optimize healing and results.
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session to support collagen production and skin hydration.
Inform your provider of any allergies, skin conditions, or medications to ensure the treatment is right for you.
Schedule your treatment at least a week before important events, as minor swelling or bruising may occur.
Your provider will assess your facial structure and discuss your goals to create a personalized treatment plan.
The treatment area is cleansed, and a topical numbing agent may be applied for comfort.
Using a fine needle, Sculptra® is injected into the targeted areas, where it begins stimulating collagen production.
After the injections, your provider will gently massage the area to ensure even product distribution and optimal absorption.
The treatment takes about 30-45 minutes, with little downtime.
Follow the 5-5-5 rule: Massage the treated area 5 times a day, for 5 minutes, for 5 days to ensure even collagen stimulation.
Refrain from hot tubs, saunas, and intense workouts for 24-48 hours to reduce swelling and bruising.
Drink plenty of water to support collagen production and healing.
If you experience mild swelling or discomfort, apply a cold compress for 10-15 minutes at a time.
Continue to avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for 48 hours post-treatment to minimize bruising.
Initial improvements may be noticeable within a few weeks, but full results develop over 3-4 months as collagen production increases.
