Before, during and after your SkinVive™ appointment at Wise Aesthetics.
Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications or supplements (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E) for 5-7 days before treatment to minimize the risk of bruising.
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to reduce swelling and bruising.
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to help optimize your skin's hydration.
Do not undergo other facial treatments, such as peels or lasers, within 1-2 weeks before your SKINVIVE™ session.
Inform your provider of any medical conditions, medications, or allergies, and discuss any skin concerns or goals during your consultation.
Your provider will assess your skin and discuss your goals to determine the best treatment plan.
The treatment area will be cleansed, and a numbing cream may be applied to enhance comfort.
SKINVIVE™ is administered using a fine needle or cannula to deliver hyaluronic acid evenly into the dermis. The treatment typically takes 30 minutes or less.
Your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions and answer any questions about your recovery process.
Do not touch, massage, or apply pressure to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
Avoid heat exposure, such as saunas, hot tubs, or intense workouts, for 48 hours post-treatment.
Refrain from alcohol and blood-thinning medications or supplements for 24-48 hours to reduce swelling and bruising.
Use a cold compress for 10-15 minutes at a time if you experience mild swelling or discomfort.
Avoid exfoliating or harsh skincare products for 3-5 days. Opt for gentle cleansers and moisturizers, and always wear SPF 30+ sunscreen to protect the treated area.
Your skin may appear slightly plumper and hydrated immediately after the treatment, with minor redness or swelling that subsides within 24-48 hours.
Improvements in skin smoothness, hydration, and radiance become noticeable within 1-2 weeks as the hyaluronic acid integrates with your skin.
Results typically last up to 6 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and maintenance.
