What Red Carpet Glow treats

Have an event coming up? Red Carpet Glow is suitable for all skin types, and your esthetician adjusts the exfoliation and mask to your skin. Many clients leave with skin that looks smoother, brighter and well hydrated.

Texture, Pores & Dullness

Professional chemical exfoliation lifts dull surface cells, helping skin look smoother and more even in tone.

Dryness & Dehydration

A restorative mask and medical-grade finishing products help skin look and feel hydrated.

Makeup-Ready Skin

A smoother surface helps foundation and concealer sit more evenly, and you can wear makeup the same day.

Event Preparation

Timed one to three days before your event, so your skin looks refreshed on the day.

Treatable areas

Primary: face. Body areas can also be treated; your esthetician will advise which areas suit your goals.

What to expect

Before, during and after your Red Carpet Glow appointment at Wise Aesthetics.

Before your treatment

Pause Retinoids and Exfoliating Acids

Stop retinoids, retinol, and glycolic, salicylic or other exfoliating acids for 3 to 5 days before your appointment.

Skip Facial Hair Removal

Avoid waxing or other facial hair removal for 5 to 7 days before your treatment.

Plan Around Other Treatments

Avoid peels, laser or other resurfacing treatments in the week before, unless your provider advises otherwise.

Clean Skin

Arrive with clean skin if you can. We will cleanse your skin before the treatment begins.

Communicate with Your Esthetician

Tell your esthetician about any skin sensitivities, allergies, recent treatments and medications, including any that increase sensitivity to light.

During your treatment

Preparation

Your esthetician cleanses your skin to remove makeup and impurities.

The Treatment

Red Carpet Glow moves through four steps, each building on the last:

  1. Professional exfoliation. A chemical exfoliant is applied to lift dull surface cells.
  2. LED phototherapy. You relax under a LightStim ProPanel while wearing protective eyewear.
  3. Restorative masking. A mask chosen for your skin is applied to soothe and replenish.
  4. Medical-grade finishing. Finishing products are applied to hydrate your skin and prepare it for the day.

Duration

The treatment takes about 60 minutes. It is non-invasive and generally well tolerated.

  • You may feel tingling or warmth during exfoliation, which usually fades quickly. Most clients find the LED and masking steps relaxing.

After your treatment

Makeup

You can apply makeup the same day.

Sun Protection

Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily and limit direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours.

Hold Off on Active Products

Avoid retinoids and exfoliating acids for 3 to 5 days after your treatment.

Hydrate

Keep your skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer.

Skip Heat for 24 Hours

Avoid saunas, hot showers and vigorous exercise for 24 hours.

Expected results

Many clients leave with skin that looks smoother, brighter and well hydrated, which is why we recommend booking one to three days before an event. Results build with regular treatments and a consistent home skincare routine.

Individual results vary.

How often to return

Results build with consistency. Some clients book Red Carpet Glow before events, and others make it a regular part of their skincare routine. How often to return depends on your skin and your goals, and your esthetician will recommend a rhythm that suits you.

Before an event: one treatment, booked one to three days ahead.

Regular care: repeat treatments at the rhythm your esthetician recommends.

Please follow the pre-treatment instructions carefully to avoid contraindications. For your safety, failure to do so may result in the inability to proceed with your treatment.

What Red Carpet Glow costs

What to expect to pay: Journey and Essentials members receive 10% off Red Carpet Glow. Our team will confirm the cost when you book, before any treatment.

About Red Carpet Glow

Each of the four steps builds on the last. Red Carpet Glow is suitable for all skin types and is designed for the days before a wedding, gala, holiday party or photo session, and as a regular part of your skincare routine.

Is Red Carpet Glow right for you?

Your provider reviews your medical history and discusses risks and alternatives with you before recommending treatment.

Who may not be a candidate

Tell your esthetician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active rash, sunburn, open wound or cold sore in the treatment area; have used isotretinoin in the past year; have a light-sensitive condition or take medication that increases sensitivity to light; have had a recent peel, laser or other resurfacing treatment; or have known allergies to skincare ingredients. Your provider will adjust or postpone treatment where needed.

Risks and side effects

This treatment is generally well tolerated, and every skin treatment still carries some risk. Possible effects include temporary redness, tightness, mild sensitivity or light flaking and, occasionally, a breakout in the days after treatment. An allergic reaction to a product is uncommon. Your esthetician will ask about your skin and any sensitivities before you begin.
