Before Your Treatment

Avoid Sun Exposure
Refrain from prolonged sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 1-2 weeks before your appointment.

Discontinue Retinoids
Stop using retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and other active skincare products 3-5 days prior to the treatment.

No Waxing or Exfoliation
Avoid waxing, threading, or exfoliating treatments on the treatment area for at least 7 days before the peel.

Notify of Medications
Inform your provider of any medications, skin conditions, or recent treatments (e.g., laser or microneedling) that may affect your suitability for a VI Peel.

Keep Skin Clean
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on the day of the treatment.

During Your Treatment

Preparation
Your provider will cleanse your skin to remove oils and impurities.

Application
The VI Peel solution is applied in layers. You may feel a mild tingling or warming sensation as the peel begins to work, but this is generally well-tolerated.

Drying Period
The peel will remain on your skin for 4-6 hours. You’ll be given instructions to wash it off at home.

After Your Treatment

Avoid Touching or Washing
Do not touch or wash the treated area for at least 4-6 hours after the peel application.

Follow the Kit Instructions
Use the post-treatment kit provided, which includes towelettes, moisturizer, and sunscreen, to care for your skin.

No Sun Exposure
Avoid direct sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.

Don’t Pick or Peel
Allow your skin to shed naturally over 3-7 days. Do not pick at flaking or peeling skin.

Avoid Heavy Workouts
Steer clear of activities that cause excessive sweating for 72 hours post-treatment.

Skip Actives
Continue avoiding retinoids, AHAs, and other strong skincare products until the peeling process is complete.

Expected Results

Immediate Results
Expect improved skin tone and texture, with reduced hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and acne scars.

Long-Term Benefits
Results will continue to improve over 4-6 weeks as collagen production is stimulated and the skin regenerates.

Day 1-2
Skin may feel tight or look slightly red or bronzed.

Day 3-5
Peeling typically begins around the mouth and spreads outward. You’ll experience noticeable flaking during this time.

Day 6-7
Most of the peeling will subside, revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath.

Treatment Frequency

Mild Concerns
One treatment every 3-4 months for maintenance.

Moderate to Severe Concerns
A series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is a VI Peel, and how does it work?

The VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that uses a blend of powerful ingredients, including TCA, salicylic acid, and vitamin C, to exfoliate the skin, improve texture, and stimulate collagen production. It addresses a variety of skin concerns, including acne, fine lines, pigmentation, and uneven tone, leaving your skin clearer, smoother, and more radiant.

What skin concerns can the VI Peel treat?

The VI Peel is effective for treating acne, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, melasma, fine lines, and uneven skin texture. It’s suitable for all skin types and can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, and other areas needing rejuvenation.

How long does it take to see results from a VI Peel?

Most clients see an improvement in their skin within 7 to 10 days as the peeling process reveals fresh, healthy skin underneath. For more significant concerns, a series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.

What is the downtime after a VI Peel?

The VI Peel has minimal downtime, but you can expect your skin to begin peeling 2 to 3 days after treatment, with peeling lasting up to a week. This is a normal part of the process as the skin sheds dead cells and reveals a smoother, brighter complexion. It’s essential to follow aftercare instructions and avoid sun exposure during the healing period.
